On April 29, 2022, California Competes Senior Researcher David Radwin presented to the 2021–22 Middle Leadership Academy of the California State University's Student Success Network as part of a multicampus team focused on facilitating adult student reentry. The other team members consisted of faculty and staff from Sacramento State University, CSU San Marcos, CSU Stanislaus CSU Dominguez Hills, and San Francisco State University. He discussed the challenges faced by students who want to return to finish their degrees at CSU campuses and the toolkit the team developed to facilitate student reentry and completion. The toolkit included outreach strategies for stopped-out students and recommendations such as waiving application fees and streamlining forms.
